The Tapajós Science and Technology Park will be installed in the Tapajós Interinstitutional Center for Sustainable Development of the Amazon – NDSA, in which the Federal University of Pará and other institutions stand out for significant number of masters and doctors working focusedly in the same field areas of the Park. It will cover an area of approximately 4.8 hectares, within the urban area of the city of Santarem, on the banks of the Tapajós River.

  The Park is currently going through a phase of studies and projects implementations which will allow territorial ordering ratifications, setting guidelines for operations, service net installations and governance and management models. These instruments correspond to the Master Plan, the Investment Attraction Plan and the Business Plan.

The access is through BR – 163 (Santarém – Cuiabá) a federal road with an average taffic flow and two car lanes which allows access to the main avenues of the city, including other states, thus connecting Santarém to the entire region and other national capitals.

The park has a privilleged location – a  few kilometers away from the airport of Santarém – besides being close to the Tapajós River. The city of Santarém is considered, nowadays, an administrative and economic center of all western region of Pará, known as an “agricultural and mineral frontier of the Amazon”
