The Belém core of the Exportation Qualification Program of the Brazilian Export and Investment Promotion Agency (PEIEX / Apex-Brasil), in partnership with Banpará and support of the Guamá Science and Technology Park, will hold on March 15, at 9:00 am to 12:00 am, in the auditorium of Banpará, the training “Foreign Exchange, Foreign Trade and International Payments”. The action is aiming at companies that want to start exportation processes or for those who already have experience in the area, but still find questions related to foreign exchange and payments. The topics covered will be: exchange market; International trade; Payment arrangements; Types of financing; Guarantee instruments; Products and services provided by Banpará; Presentation of “Banpará Empresa” services; And BNDES financing lines.

The facilitators will be Juliete Chaves, Superintendent of Foreign Exchange and Foreign Trade of Banpará; Gisele Vicente, manager of Foreign Exchange and Foreign Trade Operations; Francisco Salgado Jr., regional manager of the Superintendency of Business; And Luiz Fernando Junior, manager of the Superintendency of Development.

“This activity in partnership with Banpará arose from the identification of common doubts related to foreign trade presented by entrepreneurs served by the program. In addition to empowering Pará businessmen, this action aims to bring businessmen closer to financial institutions that can assist them in the process, “said Giselle Amaral, PEIEX monitor in Belém.

PEIEX – The Exportation Qualification Program (PEIEX) is a structuring instrument for the sectors and reinforcement of Brazil’s exportation base. Managed by the Brazilian Agency for the Promotion of Exports and Investments (Apex-Brasil), the program aims to stimulate competitiveness and promote exportation culture in companies, qualifying and expanding markets for new industries in Foreign Trade.

PEIEX’s actions take place in locations where there is a concentration of business, ranging from the implementation of management solutions, which depend only on the entrepreneur himself and his available resources, to actions related to information and access to markets. In Belém, the operation of the program is carried out by the Guamá Science and Technology Park.

PCT Guamá – Built in Belém, in an area of 73ha is provided by UFPA and UFRA, the PCT Guamá is the first technological park to start operating in the Amazon. The construction and consolidation of the space are responsibility of the Government of Pará, through the Secretary of Science, Technology and Technical and Technological Education (Sectet). PCT Guamá hosts initiatives such as the National Institute for Space Research (INPE); The Center of Excellence in Energy Efficiency of the Amazon (Ceamazon); And the Innovation Space, a building that brings together state-of-the-art laboratories and technology-based companies.
