According to the International Association of Science Parks – IASP a science and technology park is an organization whose main goal is to increase the sources of its community, promoting the culture of innovation and competition among companies and knowledge generating institutions located in the park or which are somehow associated to it. Holding to this objective, the park motivates and fosters the flow of knowledge and technology among universities, research institutions, companies and markets besides promoting the creation and growth of innovative companies based on incubation and spin-off mechanisms, and also providing other services of aggregated values such as rooms and high quality installations.
